Itinerary

Day 1 - Rio: Arrival

Arrival at Rio de Janeiro international airport.

Welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel (private transfer, with guide english-speaking).

Check-in at hotel (room available early afternoon)

Day 2 - Rio : Boat trip in Guanabara Bay

Breakfast at the hotel.

Take a cruise on Guanabara Bay for the best views of Rio de Janeiro, with the Sugar Loaf rising in the distance. Sail around the bay's islands and forts.

Visit Corcovado (by cogwheel train).

At the top of Corcovado hill stands the statue of Christ the Redeemer, 710m above sea level. The view is absolutely magnificent, giving you a 360° view. The panorama is breathtaking. It's Rio's most visited site.

Day 3 - Rio: parade at the Sambodrome

And in the evening, the Rio Sambodrome is the epicenter of the Rio Carnival celebrations, with parades by the Samba schools. The Sambodrome can hold over 80,000 spectators! 

The 700-metre track of Rio's Sambodrome comes alive during the five nights of Carnival. Each samba school has just 85 minutes to make an impression in the hope of winning the title of Champion. Tonight, watch the parade of the best Carnival schools!

Day 4 - Rio: Urca & Pão de Açúcar

Sandwiched between the mountains and the sea, the Urca district resembles a quiet, charming little village. It's a haven of tranquility in the bustling city of Rio. Discover the Praia Vermelha and the district's pretty tree-lined streets. This is where the Portuguese settlers founded the city. 

Pain de Sucre : The ascent is by cable car, with a first stop at Urca hill. From here, the route climbs to an altitude of 390 m on the Pain de Sucre. From here, the view over Guanabara Bay and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema is magnificent.

Day 5 - Rio: return

Breakfast.

Last day in Rio: airport transfer or optional extension.
