Samba de Janeiro

Rio's Carnival is the most famous occasion for samba, with spectacular samba parades at the Sambodrome where samba schools compete for the title of champion. Samba schools create special theme songs (sambas enredo) for Carnival, often telling stories linked to cultural, social or historical themes.
